Light Held Still is the photography of Ashwani Gupta, a study in patience, light, and the moment just before things change. The work spans Bryce Canyon and Zion, the Scottish Highlands, Iceland, Florida's wetlands, and closer to home in the Mid-Atlantic.
Each image begins with a long wait and ends in a fraction of a second. The infrared work, collected under Beyond Visible, renders the familiar world in wavelengths the eye cannot see: foliage turns white, skies burn, and the ordinary becomes alien.
Every print is made to order on archival paper, matted, backed, and hand-packed. Sizes from 5×7 to 11×14. No print is identical; each is pulled fresh for the order.
